Probably France’s most famous cheese & believed to be a favourite of King Charlemagne, Roquefort was the first cheese to receive an AOC in 1925. It is a seasonally produced cheese & ours is made by the 4th generation of the Coulet family in Roquefort sur Soulzon, Aveyron. Milk comes from the local breed of red Lacaune sheep, a highly prized dairy breed. We source our Roquefort from Mons Fromager whose wheels of Roquefort are specially selected for them to ensure a sweet, fondant body, delicate animal flavours & salty, syrupy blue.
